My First Doodad
I feel so ignorant that I have not Blogged. I know it has been around for a long time, but it is something that I have not done. I want to learn more about it and at what capacity I can use it with my students. Will someone please help me understand its full potential. I am not sold on it at all. :)

I think "Thing 3" will help you realize the potential blogging has for your students. It can be a powerful tool with an audience that is potential much bigger than the size of your classroom.
ReplyDeleteOMG - wait! You will find so many applications for this in the classroom.
ReplyDeleteThink about what you want to communicate as a teacher, citizen, soul,... It's important enough to say, but it would just help you so much to only have to say it once, versus 30 to a zillion times. Blog that.
ReplyDeleteThink about the frustrations you feel as a teacher. How could communicating x, y, z on a blog alleviate that frustration? Blog that.
Think about expanding your reach outside of the four walls and the x number of kids in your class. Blog that.
Good luck. Taleese
I too think you will be impressed with the value of blogging when you get to Thing 3. When I read about the Scribe Post (sample blog 7), I thought of your students.
ReplyDeleteI too am new to blogging and I am not sure how I will use it, but I appreciate your comments. I am hoping this will engage my students more as we travel through histroy together.
